“Claudio Mocchegiani Carpano” Award

  • As part of the 1st Mediterranean Conference of Underwater Archaeological Tourism, an Award in memory of “Claudio Mocchegiani Carpano” will be assigned to university students, who have completed the best thesis on underwater archeology or underwater archaeological tourism, in favor of protection, enhancement and development of the destinations in which the sites exist.

    The Award commemorates Claudio Mocchegiani Carpano, dean of underwater archeology and creator in 1986 of the STAS Technical Service for Underwater Archeology, which he himself directed until his retirement at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

    Students interested in applying must send by 15 March 2021 a copy of the thesis in PDF to the e-mail info@bmta.it or by post to Leader srl via Roma, 226 – 84121 Salerno.

    Furthermore, in collaboration with the monthly ArcheoNews, the winning thesis will be published by AMG Press.
